A private full-day San Francisco fishing charter
8 hours on the water, the whole boat yours for up to 4 anglers: $2,160, which is $540 each with four. Choose a 6:00 or 6:30 AM start when you book online. Captain Molly departs Hyde Street Harbor at Fisherman's Wharf.
How a full day differs from a half day
A full day gives Captain Molly time to run out the Golden Gate for a day of ocean or deep sea fishing, or to work the Bay without watching the clock. She plans the day with you around the season, the weather and what you want to catch:
- In the Bay: striped bass, California halibut and sharks (all sharks released), and white sturgeon on a catch-and-release basis from October 1 to June 30.
- Offshore: rockfish and lingcod are open April 1 to December 31 in 2026. For the Farallon Islands, book the Farallon Islands fishing charter.
- Salmon in season: book the San Francisco salmon fishing charter. The 2026 season off San Francisco closes October 31.
Seasons and limits for each fish: what you can catch on San Francisco Bay, month by month.
6-hour and 7-hour options
- 6-hour fishing charter (3/4 day): $1,799 for up to 4, starting at 6:00 AM, 6:30 AM or 1:00 PM.
- 7-hour fishing charter: $1,980 for up to 4, starting at 8:00 AM, for a later start that's still nearly a full day.
Want a shorter trip? The half-day fishing charter is 4 hours for $1,440.
