What the boat does on a shoot

Captain Molly knows where the Golden Gate Bridge, Alcatraz and the skyline line up, and how tide and wind change the water through the day. She plans the route with both in mind.

Photo shoots and commercials

For stills, portraits and commercial shoots, tell us the shot list and the time of day you want, and we plan the route around the light and the tide. Up to 6 people aboard, crew included.

The boat

Miss Molly is a 27-foot Shamrock Mackinaw 270 with a Yanmar diesel, a heated pilot house, a private bathroom, a swim platform with ladder and a generator. Electronics: Garmin chartplotter, radar, FLIR thermal camera, AIS and an EPIRB. Captain Molly holds a U.S. Coast Guard Master license (100 GRT, Near Coastal) with Radar Observer and Towing endorsements.

Rates and quotes

$350 an hour for the boat and captain, with a 3-hour minimum. Send your dates, hours, crew size and what you're filming with the form on this page and Captain Molly replies in writing within 24 hours. A certificate of insurance is available on request.
